CSC Academic All-District List - Softball

May 26, 2026 - The North Central College softball team secured the maximum number of College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections as Carley Creeth, Juliana Maude, Bailey Miller, Sam Schilf and Gracie Vlach earned the honor for their combined success in the classroom and on the field.

Nominated by members of College Sports Communicators, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50. Position players must have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's games or started at least 66 percent, while pitchers must have at least 17 appearances or 35 innings pitched.

Schilf, a three-time Academic All-District selection and exercise science major, led the Cardinals with 143 innings pitched. She recorded 99 strikeouts in 28 appearances with 10 complete games and two shutouts. Maude, a two-time Academic All-District selection and health science major, also surpassed 100 innings, totaling 118 strikeouts over 126.1 innings with 12 complete games and three shutouts.

Creeth, a sport management major, played in 37 games and hit .278 with 12 RBI, 10 runs, 10 walks and one double. Miller, a criminology, sociology and Chinese triple major, hit .292 over 35 games with 19 runs, 12 RBI, three home runs, three doubles and one triple. Vlach, a nutrition major, posted a .360 batting average with 21 runs, nine RBI, nine walks and one triple while starting all 40 games.

North Central has 22 Academic All-District selections since 1996, including 17 in the last four seasons. The Cardinals finished the 2026 season with a 22-18 record and advanced to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Semifinals.
