(May 6, 2026)- Five members of the North Central College softball team were named to the All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) teams, following a coaches' vote. The votes were based on performance in CCIW play in the 2026 season. The conference announced the All-CCIW Teams on Wednesday at noon.
Junior pitcher Juliana Maude was named to the All-CCIW First Team, posting a 1.44 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 63.1 innings pitched against CCIW opponents. She led the CCIW in innings pitched, while sitting in second with strikeouts and third in ERA. Maude had a record of 5-4 in 2026 against the CCIW, and her five wins put her fourth in the conference. This is Maude's second time on the First Team All-CCIW and third time making the All-CCIW Team overall.
For a second time in her career, Sam Schilf was named to the All-CCIW Second Team as a pitcher. Schilf posted a 1.89 ERA amongst CCIW competition in 44.1 innings pitched. She struck out 31 batters and pitched two complete-game shutouts, with one on April 14 against Wheaton College and one against Carroll University on April 21. Schilf's ERA and strikeouts both rank fifth among the conference.
Senior infielder Lauren Bowmar makes her first career appearance on the All-CCIW Team, earning a nod on the second team at first base. Bowmar hit .333 with a .786 OPS and recorded five RBI, six walks, and two doubles. She was nearly flawless in the field, with a 99.2 fielding percentage in 2026 conference play.
Gracie Vlach, a senior infielder, was named to the All-CCIW Second Team at second base. Vlach batted .377 with a .788 OPS and four RBI, while walking three times and never striking out in CCIW competition. She recorded a base hit in 14 of the 16 conference games played.
Earning the spot on the All-CCIW Second Team as the utility player was Kayla Crabtree. She batted .304 with a .393 OBP thanks to one walk and being hit by a pitch three times. Crabtree had an OPS of .741, with one double, and drove in a team-high nine RBI in CCIW play.
Along with the All-CCIW teams, the CCIW announced the RESPECT award winners for the nine CCIW affiliates. RESPECT Award honorees have distinguished themselves as integral members of their team, institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify strong character and promote inclusiveness and a positive culture. North Central's RESPECT award winner was
