All sport-specific expectations below assume that individuals have secured a media credential and are obligated to follow North Central College’s Media Credential and Photography/Videography/Sideline policies.

Baseball/Softball
Credentialed photographers are not permitted within the field of play or dugout areas and must not block the view of spectators in the bleachers.

Basketball/Volleyball
There are no designated areas for photographers or videographers. The first row of the bleachers remains the best location for taking photos and videos. A workstation is available upon request and subject to availability.

Football
Media representatives are not allowed in either bench area (20-yard line to 20-yard line). Photographers are not allowed to stand behind the bench areas, and are not allowed to photograph team huddles or play calling.However, photographers are allowed to shoot from the track towards the crowd, the cheerleaders, dance team, or marching band. All media must stay at least 15 feet back from any sideline or end zone to allow space for referees and/or players entering the out-of-bounds area. Shooting from behind the end zones is permitted, provided media stay back at least 15 feet. A workstation in the stadium is available upon request and subject to availability.

Lacrosse/Soccer
Media are not allowed on the west sideline (bench side) or behind a goal. Media must stay on the track surface to shoot photos/videos from the east sideline. A workstation is available upon request and subject to availability.

Indoor Track & Field
Media members must remain aware of all competition areas, as multiple events may be taking place simultaneously. The spectator seating area is the preferred location for media coverage. If granted permission to be inside the track, media must remain clear of all throwing event sectors. Additionally, media representative are not allowed to cross the horizontal jump or pole vault runways, and must avoid crossing the finish line area at all times. Media may work outside designated field event barriers, provided they do not obstruct another event area or interfere with competition operations. Recommended shooting locations include the outside perimeter of the track and the area behind the pole vault pit.

Outdoor Track & Field
Media members should remain aware of all competition areas, as multiple events may be taking place simultaneously. The spectator seating area is the preferred location for media coverage. Media members are prohibited from shooting inside throwing event areas and must remain outside of the competition barriers at all times. Media members must avoid crossing the finish line area at all times.

Wrestling
For duals inside Merner Field House, sitting along the north side of the mat is permitted. Sitting or standing in bench areas or at the scorer’s table is prohibited. For tournaments inside the Wilde Res/Rec Center, outside media are allowed to sit along the outside of the mats, as long as they are not blocking the livestream cameras, scorer’s table, or coaches.

Cross Country/Golf/Swimming & Diving/Tennis/Triathlon
