Jerry Allanach

  • Title
Volunteer Assistant Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Coach

Jerry Allanach began volunteering with the cross country team at North Central College for the 2002 season and has enoyed being involved to varying degrees with the cross country and track & field teams ever since. Jerry has always considered it an honor and a privilege to be a part of the North Central family. He especially admires how Al Carius (H) '16 and Frank Gramarosso always stressed life values as much as athletic success, and that tradition continues today with the current coaches, most of whom he watched come through the program as student athletes.

Jerry earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education at the University of Maine at Farmington and a master’s degree in interdisciplinary telecommunications at the University of Colorado. He found his love of running when drafted to coach a high school cross country team during his first year as a high school math teacher, more than 50 years ago.
