North Central College Cardinals

Tom Whitaker '80 is in his fifth season as a volunteer assistant coach for North Central's program. He works with the Cardinals' middle-distance and distance runners.

Whitaker coached basketball and track and field in the Peoria, Ill., area, at the junior high school level as well as at Peoria Manual High School. He has coached track and field at Reed Custer High School in Braidwood, Ill., the past two years.

An alumnus of the men's cross country program, Whitaker graduated from North Central with a degree in elementary education.
