Shayna Held joined the North Central College coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach for the Cardinals' women's track and field program prior to the 2019-2020 season.
Held was a four-year letter winner for the women's track and field team at The State University of New York at Geneseo (New York), earning seven conference titles and thirteen All-Region Awards. Held was a four time All- American placing fifth in the Heptathlon in 2017 and fourth in 2018. Held also placed seventh in the pentathlon and sixth in the 4x400m relay at the NCAA Division III indoor championships in 2018.
A native of Wantagh, New York, Held graduated from SUNY Geneseo in May 2019 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with minors in marketing and art history. She is enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program at North Central.
