Brandon Preston joined the North Central College wrestling staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2015.
Wrestling collegiately at Trine University, Preston was a four-year starter for the Thunder wrestling team at 125 and 133 pounds, qualifying three times for the NCAA Championships, advancing to the tournament’s round of 12 in 2013. During his career, he was a runner up at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational and the Wartburg Dick Walker Invite, while earning championships at the Ohio Northern Invite and Elmhurst College’s Al Hanke Invitational. He was a four-time regional place-winner and ranked as high as seventh nationally as an individual. His 93 career wins rank him seventh all-time at Trine.
While at Trine, Preston served as a Resident Assistant and student athletics recruiter in addition to his membership in the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. He graduated from Trine in May of 2015 with a degree in Exercise Science and currently works for Orbit Medical in Naperville, Ill.
