Abe Duran joined the North Central College wrestling staff prior to the 2017-18 season as a volunteer assistant coach.
Duran previously served as an assistant coach at Metea Valley High School for two years where he coached the team to two top-five finishes in the DuPage Valley Conference (DVC).
Duran was a four-year varsity wrestler at fellow College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) member Augustana College at 285 pounds, graduating in 2014 with bachelor's degrees in spanish language and literature. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in special education and teaching from Aurora University.
