Sydney Petzinger '25 joined the North Central women's wrestling coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2025.
As an undergraduate at North Central, Petzinger helped lead the women's wrestling program to a national title in 2023, two national runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2025, three Region IV Championships, and three CCIW Championships. A four-time All-American in the 109- and 117-pound weight classes and the 2025 Individual National Champion at 117 pounds, Petzinger's resume also includes CCIW and Regional individual titles. Petzinger has competed at various USA Wrestling events and USA Wrestling World Team Trials with the Cardinal Wrestling Club. At the 2025 U23 Pan-American Championships, Petzinger claimed the 53 kg bronze medal while representing Team USA in Queretaro, Mexico.
