Oct. 14, 2008 – For her efforts in Tuesday's non-conference victory over Maranatha Baptist, North Central College women's soccer player Amy Frazzini (Fr., Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week.

The freshman goalkeeper, making just her third career start, recorded four saves in the team's 1-0 overtime win over the Crusaders in Watertown, Wis. Frazzini recorded the shutout despite the team playing almost 30 minutes with just 10 players after a Cardinal player was sent off in the 65^th minute.

Frazzini becomes the second Cardinal this season to win the award, fellow goalkeeper Elise Manzie (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Central) won the award for the week of September 23.
