In singles, Christine Heyd (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Conant) picked up win number 18 of the season, sweeping Sammi Murphy by identical 6-0 scores in No. 5 singles. Heyd had won 17-straight matches to open the season before having the streak snapped on Saturday versus Carthage. The win was the team's fourth 9-0 victory in 2008, winning by that margin against Dominican, Saint Francis and Aurora.
Tuesday's match was the team's final home match of the season. The Cardinals concluded their home schedule with an unblemished 5-0 record.
