BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Feb. 7, 2009) – Stefanie Masterton (So., Morton Grove, Ill./Niles West) turned in a pair of top five finishes, leading the way for the North Central College women's swimming team against Illinois Wesleyan University and Wheaton College in a double dual at the Fort Natatorium.

Masterton placed third in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.36 while clocking a 2:09.23 in the 200y freestyle, finishing fourth. In the 100y freestyle, Heather Granzella (Sr., Salida, Colo./Colorado State) finished sixth, swimming a 59.97 while Ali Sanders (Fr., Springfield, Ill./Southeast) finish one place back in seventh with a 1:01.52. Granzella finished seventh in the 200y freestyle with a time of 2:17.82 and in the 50y free, Tracy DuPuis (Sr., Worcester, Mass./Burncoat) turned in a sixth place finish, swimming a 33.06.

The Cardinals return to the pool on Thursday, February 12, hosting their lone home meet of the season, a dual against Wheaton College. Races are slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the North Central Pool inside Merner Field House.
