Feb. 28, 2010-- Despite winning two of three doubles matches, the North Central College women's tennis squad was unable to keep pace with Saint Mary's College (Ind.), falling 5-4 in a non-conference dual match at the Res-Rec Center.
Cory Schillerstrom and 
Alicia DeGrado picked up the win at No. 1 doubles, downing Camille Gebert and Franca Peluso, 8-4, while at No. 3 doubles, 
Abigail Conover and 
Jessica Ignarski cruised by Jessica Kosiaski and Cara Recteaus, 8-3.
The Belles (2-1) would rally from the early deficit however, winning the No. 1 through No. 4 singles matches to come away with the non-conference dual victory.
Conover rolled past Mary Therese Lee, 6-1, 6-0, for her fourth straight victory playing at the No. 5 singles spot while at No. 6, Ignarski needed the tiebreaker during both sets to sneak past Kate Gralarck, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-1). 
The Cardinals (11-5) are idle until Friday, March 26 when they head downstate to the University of Illinois-Springfield for the two-day Hack Kellner Invitational.
