Apr. 17, 2011-- Capturing two of the three doubles matches was not enough for the North Central College men's tennis squad on Sunday afternoon, falling 5-4 to Lake Forest College in a non-conference dual match at the NCC Tennis Courts.

Matt Boguslawski and Sam Sweeney, ranked 13th in the Central Region Rankings, escaped with the 9-8(2) victory at No. 1 doubles while Eric McKee and Josh Clay earned an 8-5 decision over Tommy White and Jerry Wang at No. 3, giving the Cardinals (6-9) the early lead.

In singles, Sweeney picked up win number 16 of the season, downing the Foresters' (11-7) Ryan Kreis at No. 1 while Josh Clay posted the, 6-1, 6-2, win at No. 6. Boris Kampel captured the first set at No. 5 singles before ultimately stumbling, 3-6, 7-6(8), 6-2, to Chris Pateraikos.

North Central (6-9) returns to the courts on Tuesday, hosting Aurora University at 3 p.m.
