The North Central College men's tennis squad closed out its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin schedule on Tuesday, falling 7-2 to Wheaton College at the indoor courts of the Centre Court Athletic Club.

North Central's (8-10, 4-2 CCIW) Matt Boguslawski and Sam Sweeney rolled past Corey Chan and Miles Greenwald by an 8-4 count at No. 1 doubles, finishing the conference slate unbeaten for the second straight season and earning the CCIW title at No.1 doubles for the third consecutive year.

In singles, Sweeney downed Taylor Johnson, 6-4, 6-1, for his 11th straight victory and securing his third straight unbeaten regular season inside the CCIW at No. 1 singles. Boguslawski claimed the opening set at No. 2 singles against the Thunder's (7-9, 2-2 CCIW) Stephan Rauh but ultimately fell, 4-6, 7-6(4), 7-5, while Josh Clay saw his four-match win streak come to a close, falling 3-6, 6-2, 6-0, to Greenwald at No. 6 singles.

The Cardinals close out the regular season on Wednesday, hosting Concordia University Chicago in a non-conference dual match at the NCC Tennis Courts.
