Apr. 6, 2011-- Winning four of six singles matches, the North Central College men's tennis squad returned to the win column on Wednesday, downing Judson University (Ill.), 5-4, in a non-conference dual match at the NCC Tennis Courts.
The Cardinals (4-7) fell into an early hole, dropping two of three doubles matches to the visiting Eagles (9-12).
Mason Sass and
Rustam Saini pulled out the lone Cardinal doubles victory, prevailing 8-4 at the No. 3 position.
In singles,
Matt Boguslawski rolled past Tyler Adland, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 while
Eric McKee posted a, 6-1, 6-0, victory at No. 3.
Boris Kampel posted a 6-1, 6-2, win at No. 4 while
Josh Clay was flawless in a 6-0, 6-0, victory over Timon Williams at the No. 5 position.
North Central returns to the courts on Friday, facing College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rival Carthage College at 3:30 p.m. in Kenosha, Wis.
