2011 All-CCIW Men's Tennis Teams

May 11, 2011 - North Central College men's tennis players Sam Sweeney and Matt Boguslawski have been selected to the 2011 All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Teams, as selected by the CCIW's head coaches. The CCIW released this year's selections Wednesday.

Both individuals were so honored for the third consecutive year. Sweeney, who was also named the CCIW's Player of the Year for the third straight season, was named to the All-CCIW First Team, while Boguslawski was selected to the Second Team.

Sweeney has gone 20-1 in singles competition this season, and currently owns a career record of 64-8. He was undefeated against CCIW competition in the regular season as well as the CCIW Tournament. Boguslawski went 13-8 in singles play with a 4-1 record in the regular season against CCIW opponents, and owns a career singles record of 44-25.

The pair went unbeaten in conference play as a doubles tandem this year and are 13-3 for the season. In three years of playing doubles, the duo's record stands at 50-13. Sweeney and Boguslawski are ranked ninth in the most recent NCAA Division III Central Region Doubles Rankings, while Sweeney is the region's top-ranked singles player.

The Cardinals finished their dual-meet season with a record of 10-11, and placed fifth at the CCIW Championships.
