Complete All-CCIW Team
May 9, 2011-- The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin unveiled its All-Conference Team for the 2011 softball season on Monday with North Central College landing three players on the First Team and four on the Second Team.

Colleen Drennan and
Lauren Schramm all earn First Team All-CCIW accolades while
Laura Whitfield,
Mary Caron,
Erin Drennan and
Brianna Nelson appear on the Second Team.
Mangia earned a spot on the First Team as a pitcher after leading the Cardinals with a 2.17 earned run average. The freshman righthander compiled a 12-5 record, pitching 122 2/3 innings and striking out 47. Offensively, Mangia hit .333 at the plate with 23 RBIs and 10 extra base hits. Within conference play, Mangia tossed seven complete games, winning four while recording a save.
Colleen Drennan lands on the First Team as a catcher, hitting .321 on the year. The freshman was second on the team with 10 stolen bases while defensively picked off nine base runners and compiling a team-best .990 fielding percentage. During CCIW play, Drennan was second on the team with a .333 batting average, starting all 14 games behind the plate.
Schramm makes her second appearance on the All-Conference team, earning First Team honors at third base after earning Second Team honors in 2010. Schramm hit .376 on the season with a team-high 45 RBIs and an on-base percentage of .466. The senior belted 11 RBIs during the 14-game conference slate, leading the team with a .404 batting average.
Whitfield earns her third consecutive Second Team All-CCIW honor, landing a spot on the team as a shortstop. Whitfield led the Cardinals with a .380 batting average on the year with 17 extra base hits, including seven home runs while belting in 41 runs.
Caron and
Erin Drennan both earn Second Team honors as outfielders. Caron hit .298 on the season with 16 RBIs and 11 sacrifice hits while Drennan was second on the team with a .379 batting average, pounding 12 doubles and swiping 12 bases.
Nelson earns a spot as an at-large selection after spending time as both an outfielder and pitcher. Nelson compiled a 12-4 record in the circle with a 2.69 ERA, tossing 10 complete games and notching two shutouts. The senior had a .977 fielding percentage, starting all 14 conference games.
The Cardinals (26-12) won the CCIW Tournament on Friday, earning a bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. North Central will face the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Gelein Field in Eau Claire, Wis.
