The North Central College women's tennis team rolled to its second straight shutout victory in as many days, breezing past Calumet College of Saint Joseph (Ind.) 9-0 on Sunday afternoon at the indoor courts inside the Res-Rec Center.

In doubles, Cory Schillerstrom and Katie Hatch posted the 8-2 victory over the Crimson Wave's (0-3) No. 1 tandem of Ashley Cherry and Sami Spencer while Maggie Youel and Reynolds Cross prevailed 8-3 over Angelica Guzman and Samantha Abrego, 8-3. At No. 3, the Cardinals (4-2) received a forfeit victory.

In singles, Schillerstrom blanked Cherry, 8-0, 8-0, at No. 1 while Youel was nearly flawless at No. 2, posting the, 6-0, 6-1, victory. Hatch prevailed by a, 6-1, 6-1, count at No. 3 while Madeline Urban (6-1, 6-1) and Stephanie Brunetti (6-0, 6-1) earned wins at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions, respectively. Cross notched a forfeit win at No. 6.

The Cardinals return to league play on Tuesday, taking on College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rival Elmhurst College at 3 p.m. in Elmhurst, Ill.
