. (Sept. 6, 2011)-- Making the short trek down Chicago Avenue, the North Central College women's tennis team picked up its second victory in as many tries, downing host Benedictine University, 7-2, on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference dual match at the BU Tennis Courts.

The Cardinals (2-0) breezed through doubles play, winning all three matches. Cory Schillerstrom and Katie Hatch prevailed 8-2 at the No. 1 position over the Eagles' (0-3) Mary Clare Loughery and Lina Savikas while North Central earned the 8-6 win at No. 2 and the 8-5 victory at No. 3.

In singles, Schillerstrom disposed Loughery, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 while Margaret Youel downed Savikas, 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 2 position. Madeline Urban blanked Neha Shukla, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles while Reynolds Cross posted the, 6-3, 6-2, victory at No. 5.

The Cardinals remain on the road and return to the court on Thursday for a dual match against Quincy University.
