Sept. 19, 2012 – The North Central College women's tennis team tallied a 6-3 victory Wednesday afternoon at the NCC Tennis Courts over College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin foe Elmhurst College.
 
The Cardinals (5-4, 2-3 CCIW) captured two of three doubles matches to take the early lead as Katie Hatch and Reynolds Cross downed the Bluejay (0-7, 0-4 CCIW) duo of Nicole Darga and Brittany Kuehn, 8-5, at the No. 1 position while the combination of Rebecca Ross and Kassandra Bernardo defeated Ragan Wilson and Jennifer Guenther, 8-2, at No. 3.
 
In singles play, Madeline Urban cruised in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, over Lauren Kuehn at No. 3 while Cross earned the, 6-4, 6-1, decision at No.4 over Wilson.  In the No. 5 position Ross was victorious over Brittany Kuehn, 6-1, 7-5, and Bernardo breezed past Guenther at the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 6-2.
 
North Central returns to the court on Friday, Sept. 21 playing host to non-conference opponent Purdue University Calumet at 3 p.m.
