2013 All-CCIW Women's Tennis Teams

Oct. 18, 2013 – North Central College women's tennis student-athlete Katie Drone has been honored by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW), earning Second Team All-CCIW honors.

Drone is just the fifth All-CCIW selection in program history, following Cory Schillerstrom's four-straight Second Team selections from 2008-11.

Compiling an overall record of 5-11 while going 5-7 in dual matches during the fall season at the No. 1 position, Drone faced the top competition each opponent had to offer.

Drone was one of only two freshmen playing at the No. 1 singles position during the CCIW Tournament, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University, Oct. 4-5.

North Central wrapped up the fall season with an overall record of 8-5, while chalking up a 2-4 record in conference play.  The Cardinals open the spring season Mar. 23-26, travelling to Hilton Head Island, S.C. for the Spring Tennisfest.
