The North Central College men's tennis squad split a pair of matches inside the Res/Rec Center on Sunday, falling to Webster University in the opener 8-1 before bouncing back to defeat Dominican University, 7-2.
 
In the first match of the day, the Gorloks (8-1) jumped out to an early lead, sweeping all six singles matches.  In doubles play, the Cardinals lone victory came from the duo of Josh Rodig and Jesse Adamson as the pair downed Ricky Eaves and Travis Blair, 8-5.
 
In the nightcap, the Cardinals (2-3) avenged its morning loss by claiming five of six singles matches over the Stars (0-2).  Rustam Saini cruised past Greg Tabaka, 6-3, 6-1, at the No. 2 position while Josh Rodig followed with an impressive 6-2, 6-0 victory over Alex Dee at No. 3.
 
At the No. 4 spot, Adamson made quick work of Spencer Clark, 6-2, 6-1 while Kyle Stiffler downed Adrian Chavez in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 and Travis Kaszynski was victorious at the No. 6 position 6-0, 6-1 over Mohit Shekhar.
 
In doubles competition, Rodig and Adamson paired up once again to defeat Chavez and Dee, 8-5 at No. 2 while Kaszynski and Saini breezed through Clark and Shekhar at No. 3, 8-1.
 
North Central returns to action Sunday, Mar. 3, travelling to Aurora University for a non-conference dual starting at 12 p.m.
