NOTRE DAME, Ind. (Apr. 22, 2013) – The North Central College women's tennis squad closed out the season with a 6-3 defeat at the hands of St. Mary's College, Monday afternoon at the SMC Tennis Courts.
 
In singles play, Madeline Urban responded despite falling the first set to win, 0-6, 6-1, 6-2, over Kayle Sexton at the No. 2 position while Rebecca Ross was also victorious at the No. 4 spot, downing Audrey Kiefer, 6-4, 6-0, 10-6.
 
In doubles competition, the Cardinal (11-8) duo of Urban and Ross finished the season strong with an 8-3 victory over the Belles (10-6) Margaret Faller and Shannon Elliott.
 
North Central closes out the season with an overall record of 11-8 while posting a 2-4 record in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play, finishing fifth in the conference tournament.
