NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Sept. 11, 2013)– The North Central College women's soccer team battled hard in their first away game of the season against Carroll University (Wis.), but ended up falling, 2-1, against the Pioneers (2-2-0) in overtime on Wednesday.

The Cardinals' (0-4-0) upped their defensive game with only allowing three shots in the first half, one which did put the Pioneers on the board first, 1-0.

North Central then responded heavily with their offense in the second half, tacking on four shots, including one goal by Hope Stayer, 54:23 into the game,

Mackenzie Wenger, Rachael Houp and Amy Gerald also assisted with shots for the Cardinals'.

This was only the second time the two teams have met. Their first match against each other was back in 2007.
