ELMHURST, Ill. (Sept. 25, 2013) – The North Central College women's tennis team was ousted in a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) dual match Wednesday afternoon, falling at the hands of Elmhurst College, 6-3 at Brune Tennis Courts.

In doubles competition, the Cardinal duo of Jenny Velasquez and Kassandra Bernardo downed the Bluejay combination of Jennifer Guenther and Kayla Mangiapane, 8-2, at the No. 3 position.

In singles play, the Bluejays (4-4, 1-3 CCIW) claimed four of six matches from the Cardinals (5-4, 1-3 CCIW), but North Central received victories from Kelsey Forkin at No. 3, defeating Nicole Darga, 6-2, 6-0, while Megan Marble defeated Mangiapane, 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 6 spot.

North Central travels to Dominican University, Thursday, Sept. 26 with matches slated to begin at 4 pm in River Forest, Ill.
