HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (Mar. 23, 2014) – The North Central College men's tennis team opened its spring break trip in Hilton Head Island, S.C. on Sunday, falling to Centre College, 6-3.
In doubles play, the Colonels (1-4) claimed the first two matches but the Cardinal duo of
Aleksandar Vasic and
Jesse Adamson defeated Lucas Brooks and Carter Richardson, 8-3 at the No. 3 position.
In singles play, the Cardinals (6-3) two victories came from
Mason Sass at No. 4, downing Alex Wermeling, 6-2, 1-6, 10-7. At No. 5, Adamson cruised past Caleb Smith in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
North Central is back in action tomorrow, squaring off against Oberlin College at 8 am.
