(Sept. 17, 2014)– The North Central College women's soccer team battled hard to find the net on Wednesday night against the Benedictine University Eagles and came up short in a 0-0 tie.
The Cardinals moved to 3-1-2 on the season as
Caley Michalak (6),
Sarah Gaither (2),
Caitlyn Orawiec (3),
Morgan Geiser (1) and
Mary Lanoue (1) all had shots in the first half, but didn't find an opening in an attempt to get things going.
The second half through overtime looked similar as both teams tried to put a point on the board. In the first overtime, North Central put up two shots, but it was
Noelia Reyes who found the last opportunity as she had a corner kick in the second overtime to try and win it.

Nicki Seiton secured her second shutout of the season as she held off the Eagles for all four periods and collected three saves.
North Central plays again next Tuesday at the University of Chicago with game time scheduled at 4 p.m., after that will begin conference competition.
