Nov. 2, 2015 – For the third consecutive season, North Central College's
Katie Drone has been selected to the All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Tennis Team, earning second team honors.
Drone has been named to the second team in each of her three seasons at North Central, as the junior finished the fall season with a singles record of 3-4 in CCIW play at the No. 1 position, while finishing fourth at the CCIW Championships, also at the No. 1 position. She finished with an overall record of 7-11, playing all of her matches at the No. 1 position.
In doubles play this fall, Drone teamed up with
Miranda Grizaffi to turn in a 4-3 record in conference play, while finishing 7-7 overall, as the pair finished fourth at the CCIW Championships at the No. 2 position.
North Central finished the fall season with an overall record of 4-4, finishing fourth in the CCIW standings with a record of 4-3, while also turning in a fourth place finish at the CCIW Tournament.
