Feb. 26, 2015 – The North Central College men's tennis team fought hard Thursday evening, but ran into NCAA Division I opponent Chicago State University, ultimately falling by a 9-0 score inside the Res/Rec Center.
Starting the evening with doubles play, the Cougars (3-11) swept all three matches as
Connor Sass and
Ryan Doeckel put up a fight against Christian Gonzalez and Julian Chavez at the No. 2 position, but eventually dropped the match 8-3.
In singles play, Chicago State claimed all six matches in straight sets, taking advantage of a multitude of Cardinal unforced errors.
North Central (2-3) plays host to Webster University and Dominican University on Saturday, Feb. 28 in a non-conference triangular. Matches are slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. inside the Res/Rec Center.
