The Cardinals (11-1) broke their ten-game win streak in game one as the Belles (9-5) got the comeback win.
In the first inning, North Central started things with a single up the middle from
Corrine Rowe that scored in
Kayla Antle.
However, Saint Mary's responded in the third with three singles that tied the game. Then in the fifth, the Belles kept the momentum scoring four more off additional singles.
The Cardinals tried to tie it back up in the fifth and sixth scoring two, but came up short in the 6-4 loss.
In game two, Saint Mary's kicked things off with two runs in the first.
North Central added one of their own in the second and came up with a big third inning when Antle bunted for a single to lead off.
Cecie Portillo was hit by a pitch and
Kiersten Tinkoff singled to load the bases. It was an error by the catcher, a sacrifice fly and single by
Amanda Walker that pushed the Cardinals ahead for the lead.
Saint Mary's gave it one last shot in the seventh scoring two runs, but that wasn't enough as the Cardinals held on for the 7-4 victory.

Kaylee Hayton got the win for North Central.
The Cardinals compete again at home on Sunday taking on Monmouth College in another nonconference doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
