Apr. 19, 2015 – The North Central College men's tennis team struggled to find any momentum Sunday morning, dropping a 9-0 decision to Augustana College in a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) dual at the NCC Tennis Courts.
Starting the day with doubles play, the Vikings (11-10, 3-2 CCIW) claimed all three matches as the combination of
Oliver Moews and
Aleksandar Vasic hung tough but ultimately fell 8-4 at the hands of Lawrence Palmer and Harald Olsson at the No. 1 position.
In singles play,
Connor Sass took Eric Pohl to three sets at the No. 2 position, but eventually fell 6-0, 6-8, 10-4, while
Tyler Ringle also went to three sets at No. 6, but dropped the match 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 to Nicholas Prabhakar.
North Central (5-11, 0-4 CCIW) continues CCIW play on Tuesday, Apr. 21, traveling to Wheaton College at 4 p.m.
