Apr. 24, 2015 – The North Central College men's tennis team ran into a tough Wheaton College squad on Friday afternoon, dropping a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) dual 9-0 at the NCC Tennis Courts.
The Thunder (13-6, 5-1 CCIW) opened with a three-match sweep in doubles play, as
Adam Winters and
Alex Kohlmeier hung strong at the No. 3 position, but ultimately fell 8-5 to Lincoln Metz and Derek Mumaw.
In singles play, Wheaton claimed all six matches in straight sets as the Cardinals (5-12, 0-5 CCIW) struggled to find any momentum.
North Central closes out the regular season on Sunday, Apr. 26, hosting Millikin University with matches slated to begin at 2 p.m.
