KENOSHA, Wis. (Apr. 30, 2015) – Participating in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship, the North Central College men's tennis team was undone at the hands of Augustana College, 5-0 in the opening round on Thursday at the Smeds Tennis Center, hosted by Carthage College.
Opening the afternoon with doubles play, the Vikings claimed all three matches as
Adam Winters and
Alex Kohlmeier fought tough against Austin Schoeck and Connor Woolf at the No. 3 position, but eventually fell, 8-4.
The two teams played to decision, as Augustana went on to win positions one, three and five to clinch the match 6-0.
North Central will play Millikin University tomorrow, with matches slated to begin at 9 a.m, with the winner advancing to play Illinois Wesleyan University at 3 p.m. Additional information is available at the tournament website at
