Oct. 11, 2016 – Seeing their College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) struggles continue, the North Central College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at the hands of Elmhurst College on Tuesday afternoon, wrapping up the home portion of the fall schedule.

The Bluejays (6-5, 3-4 CCIW) took an early 2-1 lead after doubles play, as the lone Cardinal victory came at the No. 2 position.  The duo of Katie Drone and Marisa Coladipietro outlasted Chiara Gaudio and Dacey Maglaque by a score of 8-6.

In singles play, the Cardinals (4-5, 1-5 CCIW) were only able to salvage two of the six positions, as Clare O'Connor downed Gaudio, 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot, while Kelsey Forkin was victorious by an identical 6-4, 6-2 score over Rachel Rettger at the No. 3 position.

North Central finishes the non-conference schedule on Thursday, Oct. 13, traveling to Olivet Nazarene University with matches slated for 3:30 p.m.
