BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Oct. 4, 2016) – Falling behind 3-0 after doubles play, the North Central College women's tennis team never recovered on Tuesday afternoon, dropping a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) dual 7-2 at the hands of Illinois Wesleyan University.
The Titans (4-4, 2-3 CCIW) claimed all three doubles positions, pulling out a 8-5 win at the No. 1 position, before 8-4 and 8-2 wins at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Illinois Wesleyan capped the win by taking four of the six singles positions, as the Cardinals (3-3, 1-3 CCIW) earned a win from
Clare O'Connor at the No. 2 position, taking down Dana Dray in straight 6-1 sets. Also earning a victory for North Central was
Kelsey Forkin at the No. 3 spot, powering past Brianna Dao, 6-0, 6-3.
North Central returns to action on Friday, Oct. 7, playing host to Concordia University (Michigan) at 3 pm at the NCC Tennis Courts.
