Cardinals Back to Winning Ways

Mar. 21, 2016 – The North Central College women's tennis team were back to their winning ways, easily disposing of Greenville College 8-1 on Monday,  in Hilton Head, South Carolina at the Evian Tennis Center.

Junior Kate Drone would start things off on the right foot for the Cardinals, playing as the one seed and comfortably winning 6-1 6-0. From there, junior Clare O'Connor and senior Kelsey Forkin would not drop a single game, both winning 6-0. Senior Karissa Schroeder followed suit and was victorious 6-1 6-1, while junior Marisa Coladipietro went on to beat her opponent 6-0 6-0. Senior Kassandra Bernardo would stumble 6-2 6-0 (12-10).

The Cardinals had no problem disposing of Greenville in the doubles, with the team of O'Connor and Forkin winning 8-4, Drone and Berbardo also prevailing 8-4, and Coladipietro and Schroeder finishing things off 8-2.

The Cardinals play the final match on their trip, when they take on the Saint Louis College of Pharmacy tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. (ET) at Hilton Head High School, in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
