SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Apr. 10, 2016) – The North Central College women's tennis team snapped their six-match losing streak with a tough 8-1 loss to Saint Mary's College (Indiana) on Sunday afternoon at the South Bend Racquet Club.
The Belles (9-4) claimed all three doubles matches, as the Cardinals came close in two of the three positions but could not sneak out a win in either.  At the No. 1 position, 
Kelsey Forkin and 
Clare O'Connor dropped a tough 8-6 decision to Monica Davy and Sam Setterblad.  At the No. 3 spot, 
Marisa Coladipietro and 
Karissa Schroeder hang close with Andrea Fetters and Kaity Venters.
In singles play, O'Connor earned the lone Cardinal victory at the No. 3 position, taking down Setterblad, 6-1, 6-2. 
Katie Drone took Fetters to three sets at the No. 1 spot, as Fetters claimed the first set 6-2, before Drone bounced back with a 6-1 win in the second, but could not claw out the win, falling 10-8 in the final set.
North Central (11-6) closes out the regular season on Tuesday, Apr. 19, traveling to Lewis University at 2 p.m.
