ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (Apr. 29, 2016) – After qualifying for the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Automatic Qualifier Tournament with a fourth-place finish in the fall standings, the North Central College women's tennis team was undone at the hands of No. 1 seed Augustana College by a 5-0 decision, ending the Cardinals season with an overall record of 11-8.
 
Augustana swept all three doubles positions to take an early 3-0 lead as the two teams played to decision.  At the No. 1 position, Clare O'Connor and Kelsey Forkin hung with Dana Goggin and Ali MacDonald, but ultimately fell 8-5.
 
In singles play, Augustana sealed the win with 6-1, 6-1 wins at No. 1 and No. 5, while Forkin was up 3-1 in the second set over Goggin but the match was called due to decision.
 
North Central finishes the season with a 11-8 record, wrapping up their fourth straight double digit win season.
