CCIW Release

Oct. 10, 2017 – North Central College women's soccer player Allyson Viederis has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 7. The CCIW announced its selections on Monday.

Viederis earned the honor after her contributions to the team's 2-1 overtime win on Oct. 7 against the Millikin University Big Blue. She also added four shots to the team's 29 shots in the 100-minute match.

Thus far, Viederis has played in all 12 games for the Cardinals, starting in 11. She ranks third on the team in goals (5) and points (12).

This is the second CCIW Player of the Week award for the Cardinals this season. Goalkeeper Gretchen Frantz earned Defensive Player honors on Sept. 19.
