Oct. 14, 2017 – In a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) match moved indoors due to inclement weather, the North Central College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Carthage College on Saturday afternoon at Schaumburg Tennis Plus.

Carthage (7-2, 6-2 CCIW) opened the day with a clean sweep of all three doubles positions, while going on to claim all six singles positions, each in straight sets.  Diana Barcelata fought Max Mella at the No. 1 position, but ultimately fell 6-2, 6-3, just her third defeat in singles play this season.

North Central (3-8, 1-6 CCIW) closes out regular season play tomorrow, playing host to Millikin University with an 11 a.m. start time scheduled at the NCC Tennis Courts.
