Feb. 27, 2017- North Central College men's lacrosse attack-man Danny Boyle has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Athlete of the Week for the second week of conference awards in the 2017 season. The most recent announcement was made by the CCIW on Monday.
 
The Lemont, Ill. native was recognized for his five goals and four assists, totaling a game-high of nine points, in North Central's 25-1 win over Concordia University Chicago in their inaugural game last Wednesday. Boyle also scored two ground balls and earned a team high of 11 shots on net during the contest.
 
Boyle's tenacious spirit on offense was vital in helping North Central win their first game as program.
 
North Central hosts it's inaugural home opener against the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders on Wednesday Mar. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
