June 16, 2026 – The North Central College men's lacrosse, volleyball, and wrestling programs have landed six selections to the College Sports Communications Academic All-District At-Large Team. The award, which recognizes combined academic and athletic excellence, is nominated and voted upon by CSC members at higher education institutions in the United States and Canada.
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Wrestling nominees must compete in at least 75 percent of teams-cored events or wrestle in their weight class at a conference or regional championship. Lacrosse and volleyball nominees must appear in 90 percent of the team's competitions or start in at least 66 percent of matches.
Aikman, a senior exercise science major, won the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin title at 184 pounds and placed second at the NCAA Region V Championships as well. An NCAA national qualifier, Aikman has compiled a 27-12 record at 184 and 197 pounds. It marks Aikman's third All-District award and was named to the CSC Academic All-America Third Team a year ago.
Braley, a sophomore mechanical engineering major, picks up the first All-District honor of his career. Braley was the Cardinals' primary faceoff specialist, posting a .497 faceoff win percentage and leading the team with 73 ground balls. He also recorded five assists on the year.
Porter, a Second Team All-CCIW selection in men's lacrosse and a senior communications major, picks up his second All-District nod. Porter recorded the second-most caused turnovers (21) on the team this season and the third-most ground balls (34). Rohrer, the second half of the defensive duo and a senior sport management major, earns the second All-District nod of his career after a season where he led the team with 23 caused turnovers and accrued 29 ground balls.
McEachern Jr., a senior biomedical sciences major, earns his second All-District honor. McEachern Jr. finished second on the team with 189 kills, was third in digs (151) and recorded 22 blocks on the season. Mactal, a sophomore biology major, joins McEachern Jr. on the at-large team, picking up the first honor of his career. Mactal accrued 109 kills and 148 points for the season while leading the team with 63 blocks, marking the fifth-most in a single season in program history.
