Men's Tennis Rolls to 9-0 Win Over Dominican

RIVER FOREST, Ill. (Apr. 18, 2017) –
Winning four of the last five matches, the North Central College men's tennis team rolled past Dominican University on Tuesday in a non-conference matchup, winning all six singles positions in straight sets.
 
Starting the afternoon with doubles play, Alex Kohlmeier and Aleksandar Vasic cruised past John Mysz and Camden Knights, 8-2 at the No. 1 position.  At No. 2, Victor Krueger and Tyler Haizel defeated Frank Lally and Antonio Morales, 8-3, while Tyler Bussell and Connor Sass were no match for Tarik Abdullah and Chandler Allen, as the duo captured a 8-2 win at No. 3.
 
In singles play, Krueger battled past Mysz, 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 1 position, while Vasic shut out Abdullah in straight 6-0 sets at No. 2.   At No. 3, Sass turned in a 6-3 win in the opening set over Lally before an easy 6-0 win to close out the win, before Haizel downed Knights, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4.
 
Adam Winters made quick work of Morales, 6-0 in the opener before a 6-3 win sealed the victory at No. 5, while Bussell finished off Allen, 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot.
 
North Central (9-4) returns to College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) action tomorrow, playing host to Illinois Wesleyan University at 3:30 p.m. at the NCC Tennis Courts.
