Men's Track Sweeps Weekly CCIW Awards

 - The North Central College men's track and field team was recognized with a pair of awards from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on Tuesday, as the Cardinals won both of the CCIW's Athlete of the Week awards.

Pole vaulter Dylan Kuipers was named the CCIW's Field Athlete of the Week, while the North Central 4-by-400-meter relay team of Maceo Findlay, Zach Kirby, Ben Nordman and Peyton Piron was selected for the conference's Track Athlete of the Week honor.

Kuipers cleared a season-best height of 16 feet, 4 3/4 inches to place second in the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational on Saturday, while the Cardinals' relay team placed first with a time of three minutes, 15.50 seconds which currently ranks first nationally among NCAA Division III teams. Kuipers currently ranks seventh nationwide at the Division III level.

The Cardinals return to action Saturday, traveling to compete in the Augustana College Meet of Champions.
