2017 All-CCIW Men's Lacrosse Teams
May 1, 2017 - Following the close of its inaugural season, the North Central College men's lacrosse team has achieved its first All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) award, as freshman defender
Sean Tomonari was recognized on Monday with a selection to the All-CCIW Second Team. This year's awards, voted on by the CCIW's head coaches, were announced on Monday.
Tomonari started all 14 of the Cardinals' games this season, finishing second on the team in caused turnovers (29) and third in ground balls (45) while scoring four goals and winning 35 of 62 faceoffs. He ranked 52nd nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.07) and helped lead a defense which ranks third nationally in caused turnovers per game (13.07) and fourth in scoring defense (6.00 goals allowed per game).
North Central finished its first season of varsity competition with an overall record of 10-4, including a 2-3 record in CCIW competition.
