2017 All-CCIW Men's Tennis Teams
May 15, 2017 – For the first time since 2011, the North Central College men's tennis team was represented on the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference team, as
Victor Krueger earned second team honors for his play this season.
Krueger is just the fourth individual to be named to the All-CCIW team and the eighth overall selection in program history joining Billy Wangeron (2007), Matt Boguslawski (2009, 2010, 2011) and Sam Sweeney (2009, 2010, 2011).
Krueger played at the No. 1 position all season, squaring off against the best competition each opponent had to offer, posting an overall record of 9-13 on the season, while going 3-5 in CCIW play.
In doubles play, Krueger teamed up with
Tyler Haizel to go 8-8 overall at the No. 2 position, including a 3-4 mark in conference play.
Additionally, Krueger was named CCIW Player of the Week on Mar. 22, going 6-0 while guiding the Cardinals to a 3-0 record over their annual Spring Break trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C.
North Central finished the 2016-17 season with an overall record of 12-9, posting a record of 2-5 in CCIW play.
