CCIW Names Frantz as Defensive Player of the Week

(Sept. 19, 2017) - North Central College sophomore goalkeeper Gretchen Frantz was named as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week of Sept. 11-17. The CCIW announced its selections on Tuesday.
 
Frantz claims the team's first honors for the 207 season after playing all 100-minutes of a 1-1 tie on Sunday, Sept. 17 against Coe College. Despite the Kohawks came into the game with a 7-0-0 record, Frantz held the opponents to one goal and made five saves on 12 shots faced.
 
She also played 45-minutes in the home opener against Illinois Institute of Technology, giving up no goals and helping the Cardinals to a 3-1 win.
 
North Central travels to Whitewater, Wis. to take on No. 13-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Game time is set for 7 P.M and a link for live in-game coverage can be found HERE.
