United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Scholar All-Region Team

Dec. 13, 2018 – North Central College women's soccer student-athlete Lexi Dimovski has been named to the NCAA Division III Women's Scholar All-Central Region Team in recognition of her combined academic and athletic excellence, earning the program its first recognition since 2010. The United Soccer Coaches Association announced their 2018 selections Monday.

To receive consideration, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average throughout their careers, start in at least half of all games, significantly contribute to their team and be a junior or above in academic standing.

Dimovski, a forward and actuarial science major, was named to the third team with a GPA of 3.78. The Woodridge-native led North Central's offense in every statistical category, tallying 21 points on nine goals and three assists. In the team's 5-3 rout of North Park, Dimovski recorded her second career hat trick. This is just the latest recognition for Dimovski's efforts during the 2018 season, having also earned a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) First Team selection, the program's first all-region selection, and was North Central's selection for the Jack Swatz Academic All-Conference Award. 

North Central finished the 2018 season with a 7-9-1 (3-4-1 CCIW) record, just one place outside of the conference tournament.
