Jan. 17, 2018 – Adding to its list of impressive accomplishments from the 2018 season, five student-athletes on the North Central College women's triathlon team have earned College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) All-America honors for their athletic and academic achievements. The CTCA announced its selections on Thursday.

Amy Feltz, Amelia Woods, and Naomi Hill each earned Scholar All-America honors based on their performances at the 2018 USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship and maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA during the fall. Feltz, an exercise science major, and Woods, a health science major, both competed in their first national championship this season, placing 20th and 27th, respectively. Hill, an exercise science major, dropped over a minute off her time at the national championship from her first experience in 2017, placing fourth overall with a time of one hour, 12 minutes. This is her second CTCA Scholar All-America award.

The CTCA has also recognized Katherine Canfield and Grace Miller as All-America selections, awarded to the top-three finishers in each Division. Canfield, in only her second year of experience, is a two-time honoree and was the 2018 national champion with a time of 1:09:58.  Miller finished third at the national championship, posting a time of 1:11:28, an impressive feat after coming back from an injury early in the season. This is also her second CTCA All-America award.

North Central brought home its second USAT Collegiate Division III National title this season and has won the individual title the past two seasons. The team's achievements highlighted North Central's 36th overall team title and 132nd individual champion.
